I am so honored to discover my little Etsy shop was chosen as one of Diane Hu's (data scientist at Etsy HQ ) favorite shops featured in an article for Refinery 29 on Monday! Just want to send along a big thanks to Diane for the love and to Refinery 29 for telling me about the article!
If you know anything about me or follow me on Instagram you probably already know I have a plant obsession. That means you also know I am not so great at keeping them alive (but I'm getting better! See my growing avocado here). However, while brainstorming diy Christmas gift ideas this past season I got the idea to use my polymer clay to make plants for miniature terrariums and I've got to say I couldn't be more happy with the results.
Sculpting the all of the little cacti was quite time consuming but 100% worth it! I highly suggest making something like this if you have a friend like me who just can't seem to stop killing their poor plants. Only thing to keep in mind is you want to make a sure to have some sort of anchor to help hold the plants in place in the sand. I just used tooth picks and left over clay for most of mine.
Another fun lock up I made super late last night in anticipation of a snow day today and guess what, my prayers were answered! Hope everyone in the Northeast is staying warm and/or freezing their butts off but having a great time outside in the snow.
