Another fun lock up I made super late last night in anticipation of a snow day today and guess what, my prayers were answered! Hope everyone in the Northeast is staying warm and/or freezing their butts off but having a great time outside in the snow.
This summer and fall have been somewhat trying for me on a personal level and I've had some changes in my life (with more to come I'm sure) but I have to say that finally after what seemed to be like a lifetime I am feeling a little more like myself, my old self and I am feeling super inspired to create once again.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and had a great New Year celebration as well. I don't really have many resolutions for 2014 (except to travel outside of the country!) but I really want this to be the year I stay motivated and really narrow down some goals that I want for myself artistically, professionally and personally. Let's make shit happy in 2014!
After several inquiries on instagram/vine/ect. I've finally put up my existing collection of crystal paintings I've made over on Etsy. Lucky for me I don't have much of a social life so I plan to make more over the weekend! Yay!
I've also decided to accept cutsom specimen painting inquiries, if you are intertestd you can reach out to me either through my Etsy account or via email (email@example.com). Happy weened everybody.
While looking for some references on the market I accidentally stumbled across this print of mine at Macy's (it's extra fun when that happens). They made a few tweaks to the original print and I think it fits the INC. "lady" perfectly! Fun fact about this print- it's one of the first 100 prints I created long long ago! Well, not that long ago... but I'm up over 1000 prints now so it seems like a lifetime ago! I'm glad INC. was able to use it in their summer '13 this year. Fingers crossed I will see more of my prints there soon!
Discovered one of my many soft ikat prints at Walmart recently. Something I really love about this dress is that it is a part of a line that helps support women who own their own small businesses all over the world, it's called Empowering Women Together. It's such a great idea and a really cool idea that helps tie their products directly into the goal they are trying to reach. It's nice to know a print I designed is part of such a worthy cause.
